IMPORTANT SACRAMENT INFORMATION

PREP '21-'22 ACADEMIC YEAR

PREP is dedicated to serving all our students, including those attending (or who have attended) PREP and those currently attending Catholic School. The following resources are presented to assist all PREP students and families as they prepare to receive their Sacraments during the 2021-22 academic year.

Confirmation 2022 Information

  • Confirmation Date - This date is sent to us by the Bishop's Office in early 2022. We will announce the date once it is available. 
  • You can download the entire Confirmation Packet HERE (Due by January 14, 2022)
  • Confirmation Information Meeting: Monday November 15 at 6:00 PM in the Kernan Center - General discussion and information regarding upcoming events in preparation for Confirmation 2022.

Please remember: You must be in a state of grace for Confirmation; please go to Reconciliation before being Confirmed. Special times for Confessions will be heard in the early evening in March and will be announced once they are available. Confessions are regularly held at Incarnation every Saturday 10:30-11:30 AM.

  • Rehearsal 
      • Dates for rehearsal will be available in early 2022.
      • Attire Sunday best. Please click HERE to review specifics about the dress code.
  • Retreat
    • Attendance at the 8th grade retreat is required. More information regarding the Confirmation 2022 retreat will be posted in early 2022.
  • Interviews
    • Confirmandi and one parent must attend an interview; the interviews are designed to gather information about the Confirmandi and help them understand the sacrament of Confirmation more completely. Specific information regarding Confirmation 2022 Interviews will be posted in early 2022.
  • Confirmation Robes
    • Robes will be distributed in early 2022. More information regarding purchasing Robes will be posted in early 2022.
  • Sponsors - Your child will need a sponsor who must be a Catholic in good standing, over 16, and have made all their sacraments and will need a letter of eligibility from their parish. A sponsor cannot be a parent. If your sponsor is a member of Church of the Incarnation, you can download the form here.
  • Seating
    • Several rows of pews towards the front of the Church will be reserved for the Confirmandi and their sponsor. Sponsors will be seated next to the child. Parents and guests can be seated in any remaining pews.
  • Service Hours - Service hours must be completed by January 14, 2022.  If you miss the deadline, please contact the PREP office.
  •  Forms and documents for Confirmation can be downloaded here

  • First Communion
    • Children’s attire: Sunday Best; no jeans, no T-shirts; no sneakers, flip flops, or shoes with flapping heals. Boys can wear a suit and tie. Girls can wear dresses; white is appropriate, but not required. If gloves are worn, they need to be removed before receiving First Communion.
  • Rehearsal Information: Information about rehearsal will be available by April 2022.

 

  • First Reconciliation Information
    • First Reconciliation ususally held on second or third Saturday in January 2022. More information will  be posted as it becomes available.
      • Please review this document. It covers the process for receiving the sacrament and how to examine your conscience with your child.

Sacramental Fees for Catholic School Students (PREP students pay this as part of their tuition.)

Please contact the PREP Office before paying fees to learn what's available for your child.

There is a $35 fee required for all sacrament grades 2 and 8. To pay this fee online, click here after speaking with a member of our staff.
